Alex Lachance has spent two years working on his custom Subaru wagon. #WIDEWAGN highlights the detailed work he put into this unique show car as he cruises through rural Ontario.
"Great guy to work with, he’s passionate about his work and it shows in the end results. I was very pleased with the creative ideas Craig brought forward"

Behind the Scenes
Alex first mentioned this project to me when his car was still a work in progress. We decided to get a few video shots early in the process, as his wagon was already garnering interest from the custom car community. The final paint job aligned perfectly with the season change and I knew that the rich purple tint would stand out amazingly on the yellows and oranges provided by the fall leaves. Not to mention, the road leading to Alex’s Black Anvil Garage painted a perfect landscape of gently winding country roads. I really wanted to show off the vehicle’s low and wide features so I shot from ground level using a dolly to pan across the wagon’s wide features. Alex really wanted to show that his car was more than just a show piece and that it can handle the road. By using a GoPro, a steadicam, and a camera jib; I was able to capture some great shots of his car in action that really helped complete Alex’s vision.
